I spent a lot of time researching and choosing a diaper service. I ultimately chose Blessed Bums because they serve my area, provide an online registry that actually worked, and I liked that I could order other items (diaper covers, rash creams, ect) and have them delivered directly to my door with my week's diapers without extra shipping charge. And as an added bonus, they offered only $20/week for customers who registered with them. You just can't beat that.

Lastly, in today's environment of big businesses, it was great to work with BB because it is a local, family-owned and operated business that also offers excellent customer serivce. Definitely check them out!

Blessed Bums turned out to be the find of a lifetime for me. After being so careful during my pregnancy to eat healthy, organic foods so my baby wouldnt be exposed to chemicals, I was horrified to find that most of the diapers in America are absolutely full of chemicals...many that are banned in Europe and most other developed countries! Since skin is incredibly absorbent (you take in as many toxins during a 20 minute shower as you do in 8 glasses of unfiltered water), I was not happy about the thought of my son spending hour after hour absorbing nastiness into his system.
Blessed Bums is the perfect solution. They are completely organic and don't even use harsh chemicals when washing the diapers...they use a special soap that gets the diapers absolutely clean (they all look brand new each week), but nothing harmful is left to sit on your baby's skin. (The other service I looked into uses a ton of harsh chemicals, so what is the point of using cloth?)
Not only that, but you actually save money this way. I traveled for one week and bought Seventh Generation paper diapers for the week and it cost me $36. Blessed Bums is only $22 per week. Not only that, but your baby will potty train way earlier than if he were using paper diapers because he will feel when he is wet. After eight wonderful months with Blessed Bums, I called to stop our service. This was because our 8 1/2 month old son hadn't pooped in his diaper in a month! He is nine months old now and I use two paper diapers a night and maybe two cloth diapers (I bought 20 when I left Blessed Bums) per day, and he only pees in them. Worth it just to never have to clean a smelly mess off him!
But even better is how we were treated during our time with Blessed Bums. Chris and Laura came out to our house while I was pregnant and showed us how to use the diapers (way easier than it was when we were kids!) and patiently let us practice till we felt confident. They left a week's worth of diapers with us so when my son was born, we were able to start immediately. They also left a diaper pail for the diapers that had a tiny little disk in it that made the pail never stink! We had it in our bedroom the whole time and it never smelled!  Throughout the whole experience, they have been courteous, patient and kind. They are almost always available when you call and willing to spend time answering any question. They were even understanding when I had a family emergency and forgot to put my diapers out for pickup several weeks in a row. I didn't just feel like I had a service, I felt like they were on my team. For a first time parent, that meant the world to me.
If you are even thinking a little bit about trying cloth diapers, give Blessed Bums a
call. It's a lot easier than most people think and will save you soooo much money!

We used Blessed Bums Organic Diaper service for the first 6 months of my son's life, and they were AWESOME. I was attracted to this company because their practices are extremely "green" and "clean"-- other options for diaper service in our area used toxic chemicals in their cleaning process, but not Blessed Bums! It was also affordable at $22/week (for delivery in Tarzana) with NO STARTUP COSTS!!  That's key. You just have to buy a handful of diaper covers and a few other supplies (like a diaper pail), but you can purchase those anywhere--or better yet, put them on your baby registry.

The owners, Chris and Laura, are very friendly, approachable and eager to help. 10 stars for customer service! Upon signing up for the service (a few months before my due date), they both came out to give my husband and a demonstration and answer any questions we had. They delivered a week's work of prefold diapers two weeks before my son's due date. When my son came home, he was already too big for the 'newborn' size prefold diapers which fit babies up to 9 pounds. Blessed Bums came out THAT DAY to swap them for the next size up.

A few months later, when my baby was sleeping 11-12 hours at night and therefore needing more absorbency for that long stretch, I asked Laura for advice. She gave me three approaches to try and delivered extra diapers in a bigger size, as well as some in a smaller size to try using as doublers. It was SO great to be able to experiment to find what worked for me, without having to go buy anything.

There was never a time when I didn't have enough diapers to get through the week. And if I needed extras to go on a road trip or something, Blessed Bums had no problem delivering what I needed.

At 6 months I decided to start doing my own diaper laundry, and Blessed Bums even offered their advice to help me with the transition. I will definitely be using them again when the next baby comes along!

They keep adding more styles of diaper covers and other products to their inventory, and I even received some samples of natural skin care products here and there with my deliveries. cool!

I could go on and on... This is an awesome business that I recommend to anyone in LA interested in cloth diapering. If you think cloth diapering is too hard, or too expensive, or too gross, or too whatever... THINK AGAIN! It really is EASY, and I think it's pretty cool that I don't even need a trash can near the changing table.

I knew I wanted to use cloth diapers when I was pregnant with my son, but didn't know exactly how to go about it. I saw Blessed Bums at a baby EXPO and they provided me with a great explanation of cloth diapering! A few months later my husband and I saw them again, this time at the local Earth Day fair, that's when my husband got on board. They invited us to an open house where we got to see how they wash the diapers, look at all the diaper covers, natural mom/baby products and learn about how a diaper service works. We also met other potential cloth diapering families and had a class on how to use the cloth diapers using stuffed toys. It was a great time, very informative as well. We signed up for the starter package right then. My now 5 month old son was born 2 weeks early and my husband called to let Chris and Laura know of his arrival - they had our diapers waiting for us when we got home from the hospital the next day. Over the last 5 months Chris and Laura have been very helpful and supportive, always having time to answer my first-time-mom questions. I feel good using cloth diapers on my son, knowing that I'm helping him and the environment. Before I had my son, I had never even changed a diaper and I have no problem using the cloth diapers. My husband even changes them with no problem! I highly recommend Blessed Bums to anyone looking to cloth diaper their child.

It is great to have organic cloth diapers and a great home business to help you when needed. Always calls right back, even the weekends. The diapers are great quality, would not put my baby in anything but blessed bums products. Cloth diapering is not what it use to be, super easy with the help of blessed bums. The best part it is green friendly!!

If you want the very best for your baby go with an organic cloth diaper delivery service- and Blessed Bums has it all!

We used disposible diapers for the first 3 days- from the moment we put these organic cotton cloth diapers on our son, we could tell he was much happier- so much more comfortable.

The serivce at Blessed Bums is excellent!  The products are great! The diaper cover selection is awesome- try the wool- baby will LOVE it!

One of my friends just had a baby in the LA area and I want to get her a gift certificate and a few little gifts. I called Blessed Bums and they were so friendly and helpful! I was so relieved to talk to someone with experience and who could be honest. I have told all my pregnant friends about them! Too bad you don't serve Seattle!

Thanks Blessed Bums!

I started using this diaper service when my son was born. I knew I wanted to use cloth diapers, preferably organic so I started my research and came across Blessed Bums.  I spoke to the owner, Laura and she was very informative and really nice!  They brought me the diapers a few weeks before my son was born so I was ready.  They even showed me how to fold and use the diapers along with their service. They really added a personal touch and I feel they provided higher end, better quality products and service than some other options I looked into. The service was always on time, with clean, soft diapers. An added bonus is that I could call them on a Sunday night and they would not only answer- but bring me extra diapers that same night!

Unfortunately a job opportunity moved me and my family out of Los Angeles.  I'm super bummed because I haven't been able to find anything as awesome as Blessed Bums in Colorado yet!

I have no idea why more people are not cloth diapering!!! Chris and Laura opened up a whole new world to my family and we couldn't be happier! We were hesitant at first (we still pictured ugly plastic pants, and safety pins!!) but they came over to our home right away (as i was  very anxious to check it out) and showed us everything- different folds and cover options.  We had some leak issues for a while, but we were determined to not give up and Chris and Laura were so helpful and willing to help in anyway they could. we started when our preemie son came home from the hospital when he was about 8 weeks old. He was very tiny- so we bought 2 of the bummi super brites and they worked perfectly until he was 10lbs (I would definitely recommended these for newborns and preemies!) We have found that cloth diapering is only harder than disposables if you let it be- we have actually had a lot of fun with it, and love the fact that we will be cloth diapering all of our future babies too! I love when people ask us questions when we are changing our son in Public places or at friends because then we get to educate about cloth diapering and  brag about Blessed Bums and how great their service is  :)
