Blessed Bums was founded in 2010, when owners Chris and Laura discovered they were expecting a bundle of joy. Laura wanted to use cloth diapers. But not just any cloth, she wanted organic cotton. Chris was a little hesitant to try cloth, but upon thorough research, found cloth was much better for the environment, and more importantly, his baby. However, there was not an organic diaper service in the Los Angeles area. That's why Blessed Bums began!
Laura, being a new mama herself, knows how important baby's delicate skin is. She takes pride in offering the best-on-the-market organic skin care. She also understands that cloth diapering doesn't have to be the ole' frumpy rubber pants and safety pins. Laura takes time to find the most adorable (and functional!) diapering accessories and makes them easily available to busy new moms.
Blessed Bums is an active member of the Real Diaper Industry Association and a proud contributor to the Real Diaper Association. Laura also is the RDIA (Real Diaper Industry Association) 2011 Annual Conference Committee Chair.
In their pre-diaper laundering days, Laura was an event planner in Seattle and Chris served in the U.S. Army with the 75th Ranger Regiment. They moved to Chris' hometown of Santa Clarita and are enjoying the Southern California sunshine.
In December 2010, they welcomed Madeleine into the world. Being new parents is exciting and sometimes challenging. Every day is something new. Now, more than ever, they understand the need to help parents discover the benefits of diapering with cloth.
